And It Gets To Be Me!

Life is moving along quickly and my youngest daughter turning thirteen this month is a reminder of that.  The birthday celebration consisted of a small family get-together, blowing out candles, eating plenty of cake, laughing a little, opening presents, almost escaping the Escape Room, and a spend-the-night friend.  As I was greeting the friend’s mom at the beginning of the evening, she explained how excited her daughter was to be with us and how thrilled she was about going to the Escape Room. When her daughter was telling her about the night’s events, she felt honored to be the one friend who got to experience the fun and said, “And it gets to be me!”  Simply precious.  It reminded me of our Father and the privilege we have to be called His child.  Because He is my King, I am a princess.  Because He sent His Son, I can live forever.  Because of His grace, His power is made perfect in my weakness.  Because of His love, I am free.  Because of His power, I am shielded.  And it gets to be me...forever a child of the Great I Am.
