Thoughts for Today

My Tiny Home

I often wondered through the years why I stayed in my starter home I lovingly call my tiny home.  With no entertainment space and little room to grow, it didn’t make sense at times.  I looked for larger homes due to a growing family, but the right one was not found.  Financial and health twists and turns had occurred through the years, and it was during those times I was thankful for a smaller mortgage bill.  I always wondered why my friends were able to live larger and I was not, but I still trusted my Father and knew He had a reason.  One huge blessing about the location of my house was the neighbors that came with the package.  I dare say none better could be found.  One older neighbor, in particular, would pose questions to me about the Bible or we would end up in loving conversations about our beliefs.  This went on for years.  And I always spoke from a place of love.  It turned out that recently we had quite a deep conversation about the Word.  Not to say it was that per se, but my neighbor shortly thereafter was restored to Christ and he and his wife started going to church again.  He was on fire for Christ.  He decided to deliver the devo one Wednesday evening and my youngest daughter was there.  His message was so powerful that she came home and wanted to be saved.  So she put on Christ and thrilled me beyond words.  All those years of wondering why I was still in my tiny home were answered.  At least for now.  And God only knows how many more years I will need to be there, for His glory, in my tiny home.

May God bless your home no matter the size,
Celeste
