Being Loved

When I was little we were "broke" as my Dad says.  I can remember my Mom trying to scrape the last ounce of peanut butter out of the jar to make a sandwich for a school lunch.  And on Saturday mornings the big treat was a 1 cent piece of bubble gum that my Dad picked up because he knew my siblings and I loved it.  As pitiful as that may sound these days, it is one of the things that made me who I am, for which I am so grateful.  Though circumstances in this life may not seem fair sometimes, God loves us more than any parent, sibling, or friend could.  He has prepared peace and warmth and love and accommodations for us that we cannot even imagine.  Whatever you are going through at this very moment, know that you are loved by the King.

"...no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him..." 1 Corinthians 2:9
