I once witnessed a young man who had stopped his car in the median of a busy roadway to help a turtle who had made its way onto the road. He had gently picked the large turtle up by the shell and was clumsily making his way to the side of the road where there was grass. I smiled from ear-to-ear. Other than daring to risk his own life, he obviously had a compassionate heart for this living creature. Do you want to feel great this week? Do you want to know that you’re here for a reason other than yourself? While helping a turtle is good, here are a few ideas to help people which could mean the world to them. Reach out to help someone succeed or be empowered. Fill the stomach of a hungry child. Give an encouraging word or a compliment to a co-worker. Let someone know you're praying deeply for them and their situation.
"Give and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over...for with the measure you use it will be measured back to you." Luke 6:38
