Not Okay

My hope is that you cannot relate to the following.  And if you cannot, please know there are many who can.  Pray for them and share this to increase awareness and call the darkness into the light.  God has given me insight and a tender heart for those who have suffered from abuse.  It doesn’t matter the kind, abuse is abuse.  It’s so sad to me that abusers have fragile egos, immense pride, a better-than-you attitude, and pain in their past that causes them to beat others down so they can lift themselves up.  What a destructive path they leave.  And for those in the path, well… know you are beautiful despite it.  Know that God has better things for you and that He does not condone the behavior.  Know that for every time you feel small and less than, He will lift you up.  Know that your Father loves you beyond words and made you special.  Know that abuse in any form is not okay and though you feel crazy sometimes because of it, you’re not.  Know that you are precious in the sight of God no matter how low your self-esteem feels.  Pray for those who persecute you.  Pray for your strength that only He can give.  Talk about it with someone you trust, get help, and get out because unfortunately some people never change.  Let revenge be the Lord’s.  And forgive those who have hurt you.  As for why life isn’t fair sometimes, I’m not the expert, but I do know that we can use our experiences to comfort others, lift them up, and hold them tight.  And for times when things are not okay, know with all your heart that the Great I Am can turn the ugliest times into something beautiful.

With the love of the Lord,
Celeste
