Thank you to Dads everywhere…
For patiently teaching your children how to ride a bike, navigate a canoe, and drive a car,
For working two jobs, sometimes, just to put food on the table,
For teaching about the value of a dollar, saving, and giving back to God,
For being a role model to your boys and girls of how women should be treated,
For protecting the household from harm,
For being dedicated and committed to your family,
For teaching your children how to farm or do carpentry or work math problems or fish or simply play,
For serving others, showing kindness and gentleness, teaching compassion and how to love deeply,
For walking humbly with God so your family learns by your actions,
For choosing to be a real man even if your dad didn’t know how or didn’t care how to show you,
For simply being you.
For those of you who are missing your Dads today, know you are loved by your heavenly Father – the maker of your soul – who holds you in the palm of His hand.
Happy Father’s Day,
“As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him…” Psalm 103:13
